UCBA Open House

on

If your family or friends are interested in applying for college at UC Blue Ash, look no further. University of Cincinnati Blue Ash is hosting an Open House on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. At this event, prospective students can gain infinite amounts of information in order to prepare themselves for the journey of applying to our college.

UCBA student ambassador Maddie Munro explains that an Open House is worth attending because “It is a great way to receive all necessary information at once. All departments are represented, there are many resources, and students can efficiently learn about our college in one trip. It’s also a great way for students to experience the college when it is active, rather than quiet during the summer.”

Prospective students can learn about our programs, as we have over fifty majors at this campus. A representative from each department will be located in booths along the hallways. There are multiple instructional presentations given by UC Blue Ash Admissions staff that will explain the general enrollment steps, which usually answers many frequently asked questions. To receive details on selective admissions programs such as Nursing, Veterinarian Technology, and Dental Hygiene, there are break-out sessions that focus on the selective admissions process, as it differs from the general admissions process.

If anyone has questions in reference to financial aid, our One Stop Office will have representatives at the front door. Campus tours will be given by student ambassadors so that everyone is able to look around and view our campus’ offerings. The best part about the event, besides the free cookies and popcorn, is that prospective students can apply to UCBA for free! With the added help of professional staff, anyone is welcome to walk in and apply, and the $50 application fee will be waived.

Our lead admissions student worker and UCBA student ambassador, Brooke Francis, explains that “The added assistance of UCBA professionals allows students to feel comfortable filling out the application correctly. First year students don’t have much exposure to applying for college, so the extra help eliminates possible frustrations or questions.”
